What do you get when your neighbor has a pallet and a half of sod leftover? Extra sod, of course! Our neighbor came over to see if we knew of anyone who needed sod (not free, of course) and after thinking about it we thought we could probably use it. It was a very last minute project for the already busy day but with the help of Mark's family we were able to get it done by late afternoon. Unfortunately Mark had a tooth extracted on Friday so he was unable to do much with the yard, or I should say he shouldn't have been doing much in the yard. I thought for sure he would do too much and lose the blood clot and get dry socket. But I was wrong. Although, the whole tooth extraction thing worked in his favor because I'm the one who got to dig the 80 foot trench that we needed. So here are a few pictures of our new backyard. And I do have some nice biceps due to the trench digging.
Our new lawn...well at least a 30 by 20 foot portion of it.

Do you like the sprinkler system Mark installed?

And my trench. Yes it is mine because I worked on this baby for 4 days. Blood, sweat and tears went into this thing. And no laughing at my straight line. Did I mention it's 80 feet long?

You never told me about Tea's little mishap! Geez!! See ya tomorrow!
I think you did a great job! Mark can't have any complaints about your yard work skills! How fun to have grass in your backyard!
Your amazing! You better have some muscles from digging that bad boy:) that is so funny! Your backyard is huge!
wow, you have been up to a lot! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...I keep forgetting that it won't automatically update when you post. :( Is the trench for a fence? It is very nice, and the little patch of grass is awsome too!
Holy cow girl...that trench is awesome!! You are so talented. A trench digger and a sprinkling system...what more could a guy ask for in a wife?
