It's been a week since I've posted. Not sure what I want to achieve with this post but I'll just make a list, I guess, of things that happened.
- Mark left last Friday for China...again. He returns tomorrow with rumors of having to go back in June.
- Téa lost her second tooth on Saturday at her cousin's house. My nieces were watching the girls while I got to shove, kick, and beat up people all in the name of soccer. Téa's tooth fell out while she was in the wood chips and after hunting for a while the tooth was nowhere to be found. My sweet niece then told Téa that once she had to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy because she couldn't find her tooth either. So the minute we got home Téa sat down and wrote a letter telling the Tooth Fairy what happened. Thankfully the Tooth Fairy came through.
- I found out that Piper cries when babysat by anyone but Grandma so far. She was also at her cousin's on Saturday during my game and the only time she wasn't crying was when she was in the stroller on a walk. I guess my brother-in-law, Jeff was the only one Piper would calm down with. Maybe he looks just enough like her Daddy that she was somewhat comforted. I'm still hanging on to my hopes that Piper will love Meghan when we start swapping again! The outlook so far is good.
- Beverley came to help out the beginning of the week. Piper went to her instantly. There was no warm-up period or anything. She loves Grandma.
- I owe a huge apology to my mom. Téa is the same age right now that I was when my dad left for a year to Italy (for the Air Force in case anyone was wondering). I don't remember much of the way I was but my parents sure do. Of course my mom sugar-coats it some but instead of me being very sad about my dad going away I was mad at the world. My sadness came out as anger. Oops. So Téa has been acting out when Mark leaves on these trips and I'm now getting a glimpse of what I was like 23 years ago. Sorry Mom!
- Calista loves to be outside "helping" me in the yard. She pulls the weeds for me and she always finds my gardening gloves when we first go out. Although I did find out that she is possessive of her rake. I asked to borrow it for a few minutes and she took off to the other side of the yard, holding it like I was trying to take away her first-born child. Of course she did offer it to me an hour later...when I didn't need it anymore.
- My older girls are already showing they possess a shoe fetish gene. I have to admit they got it from me. But I should explain that this shoe fetish gene is not just for any type of shoe, although on some occasion it can branch out to any shoe on sale. This shoe fetish gene is mainly just for flip flops/sandals. We stopped by Old Navy this week so the girls could pick out flops and they were in heaven. Then Calista got to pick out some new sandals from Target. What's that song that says something like "oh I love being a girl"?
- That's our week so far. Hopefully this long weekend will be full of outdoor projects. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I got to mow the lawn yesterday. Nothing like the smell of freshly cut grass and gasoline on your clothes.

you're forgiven....and you really wheren't that bad (memory loss)
Uh hello!? Piper practically worships me! You have no need to fear! And if she doesn't worship me she will probably worship Ty since your girls seem to have crushes on him...
Hooray for Mark being home and hooray for doing bodily harm to other women on the soccer field!
Maybe you could start teaching Callista how to love mowing the lawn. Start her young.
