This little piggy...

OK, first I have to state for the record that I have my cousin Libby to blame for this. Téa saw Libby's blog with a picture of the really cute cupcakes she made for her daughter's birthday. Well, I got around to asking Téa how we should decorate the cupcakes for her party since it's at Kangaroo Zoo and they don't allow food (unless you want to spend $150 to rent a room...right). She remembered the cute little piggy cupcakes and said she wanted those. OK, that's do-able, right? I only have to make 7 of them. Well, a few days later she says she wants me to bring treats to her classroom on her birthday as well so I figured cupcakes are easy. Wrong! Not when your daughter says she has to have piggy cupcakes for her class too. "How many do I have to make, Téa?" I asked. "Just 24, Mom." Ohhhh...kayyyy. I managed to do it, though. And they turned out alright in the end. I gave up on trying to make all the ears pink so I just used red and orange starbursts. Didn't want to buy another bag just to have enough pink ones. Now I just have to make the ones for the party tonight.

I made a bigger cupcake (though you can't really tell) for Téa's teacher. One Mama pig with all her 24 piglets.

They are super cute! What is the nose made of...a marshmallow? I think you did a great job! What a lucky girl Tea is!

Woo hoo! Go Cia! They really look adorable.

I ended up buying several big packs of Starbursts and using the pink and red ones for ears...which meant I got the orange ones ALL TO MYSELF. (Evil laugh.)

Oh, we wish you a very happy birthday Tea! Your mom did an awsome job on your cupcakes. Did the kids in your class like them...they were probably the coolest thing that anyone has brought!! Wish that we could have been there for the festivities. Great job Marcia!
