California Vacation (Day 5)

(June 25, 2014)

Disneyland Day 3:

Our last day at the park. It started earlier than the other days because we thought our tickets included a Magic Morning which would allow us to get in the park an hour earlier than most of the park goers. Too bad we were wrong! Magic Morning is only for those who stay in a Disney hotel. Lame. But we got an early start to the fast pass lines for the popular rides, so that was the silver lining.

Our last time riding Grizzly River Rapids. Jeff is angry, Alison doesn’t know I’m taking a picture and Mark is just being cheesy, as usual.

Here we are after the ride.  All soaking wet!

I had to include this picture. I was taking pictures of the other half of the family in the car next to us during the race and realized at the last minute the picture was coming. Good thing I didn’t lose my phone! Markee’s hair is completely covering her face. And Leslie is still taking a picture of the other half of the family and her hair is all over Jared. Love it.

A long line for Haunted Mansion. I really enjoyed waiting in this line. I talked with Josh the whole time about his new girl friend, Whitney. Good I listened well and asked all the right questions. She is now going to be joining our family! Josh and Whitney will be getting married in May!

Climbing on the bars makes waiting in line a little more fun.

Calista saved up money to buy some Mickey ears that she remembered from our visit back in September of last year. She was dead set on getting them. Mark took one for the team and walked around the park trying to find the right ones. While they were on a mission Piper and Téa wanted to ride on Thunder Mountain Railroad one last time.

It was super hot in line.

I am not one of those moms who waits in line to meet characters at Disneyland, but when the perfect opportunity comes along, you go with it. We were in New Orleans Square waiting for Mark to get off the train and Princess Tiana came strolling up and stopped right next to us. They were starting a greeting line so we hopped in and were second in line. It’s not a great picture but I didn’t wait 3 hours in line to get it.

I believe this was our last ride of the trip. I love Piper’s and Markee’s faces. Jeff is asleep and Alison, Mark and I looking at something cool.

We left the park earlier than planned. We hit all the rides we wanted and we were exhausted. We got our money’s worth and made some awesome memories. I could go once a year to Disneyland, we love it that much. We are thinking that since we’ve been three times in the last four years that we should probably take a break, though. We don’t want to dip into the kids’ college funds just yet.
