Losing Teeth Already

I’m still kind of in shock and it’s been a week already.  Piper lost her first tooth last Thursday.  She’s only four.  The other two girls didn’t lose one until the middle of Kindergarten.  Piper came up to me at 5:30 pm and said her tooth was wiggly.  Like a good mom I actually didn’t brush it off and I checked.  Sure enough it was wiggly.  So much so that it was bleeding and hanging on by a thread (a thread of what, I’m not sure…).  An hour later she had a whole in her smile.  Not too bad, eh?  She’d never said anything before about it being loose so it was a total surprise to us.

Mark asked Piper who would come take her tooth away from under pillow and her reply was “Grandpa”!  We were all laughing so hard.  Apparently Grandpa needs new teeth.

Here’s the happy girl with her tooth all ready in it’s ziplock baggy.

And sure enough someone/thing came and took her tooth away and left a whole dollar.  That’s way more than I used to get.  I think I was lucky to get a quarter!
