Random Thoughts

Calista wasn't feeling well this afternoon so she sat on the couch for a while and just as I sat down to feed Piper she said she wanted to snuggle with me for a while. Before I could even get words out of my mouth about waiting until Piper was finished eating Calista said "Mom, I can wait on the couch until your done and then will you snuggle with me until I feel better?" This is why a three year difference is so much better than two years between Calista and Piper. She totally understands that she has to wait to have Mommy time occasionally. Téa didn't understand at all when Calista was born. When she wanted something she wanted it right away and didn't understand why she had to wait. That was probably the reason having two kids was such a challenge for me. I cried almost every day for months. So far (knock on wood) the transition to three has been fine. I'm not saying it's by any means easy! I just feel better prepared and having two understanding girls has helped tremendously...and the fact that my mom has been here for almost a month now might have something to do with it! I don't know what I'll do when she leaves in a week and a half. Anyone know of a free nanny?

My kids are all 3 years apart almost to the day and it is fantastic. They are not jealous of the new baby, in fact kennedy barely paid attention to avery. Avery kissed all over vance, she loved him.
Yeah I have to say having your mom there I'm sure helps a ton. But, if you are used to going out by now then you won't feel nervous about doing it alone.
It will be perfect when school starts too.
I am looking forward to one baby at home.
