Calista holding Piper in the hospital

I finally got some pictures of Piper awake.

Piper pretty much lives in her bouncer.

As of yesterday Piper is a week old. From Wed. of last week through Sunday Piper slept all day and all night. She would wake every 3 or 4 hours for maybe 20 minutes at a time to have a diaper change and eat. I kept worrying she would catch up on her sleep and then be awake all night but she has been a great sleeper. Mark takes the first shift of the night. He just stays awake until about 10:30 or 11:00 pm. He waits until she's hungry and then feeds and changes her. (Have I mentioned how GREAT bottle feeding is?) I've been going to bed around 8:30 or 9 pm and on my shift Piper usually wakes around 2 am and then around 7 am. I'm really hoping this can be her schedule. Most of you know what a stickler I am when it comes to schedules so if this can be hers for the next few months I'd be happy. I don't expect her to start sleeping through the night at a month old like Calista. But it would be nice!
I've been feeling great and bounced back pretty much the next day after Piper was born. I feel very lucky to have healed so quickly. I have two other munchkins to look after so it's not like I could lay around all day long. The older girls had been looking forward to the baby coming so that I could be "normal" again and be able to run around and do stuff with them. I actually went grocery shopping Friday with Calista and ran into a friend from my ward. She couldn't believe I was out shopping. I couldn't believe it either, but it had to be done. Calista was a big helper though. It turned out to be a good visit to the store because my friend offered to bring us a meal the next night and it was so appreciated. Thanks Stacy! The BBQ sandwiches were excellent. I lucked out and had 4 nights in a row of meals brought in. Just one of the many reasons I love my ward.

Seriously, that ward rules. I think Piper looks exactly like Tea as a baby!
Her schedule sounds AWESOME! Lucky you! Sorry this is so late, (been crazy busy lately) but congrats!
