This particular game was one of the first games of the Spring season. I hate March games here in Utah. It can snow, hail, rain and be super sunny all within one game. This time around it was super cold and windy with the bonus of rain. For some reason Calista said she would play keeper for half of the game and she was freezing. I gave her my winter coat and had her wear it while playing goalie. I'm surprised she could even see!
This was Calista at her last game of the season and her last game with the Striped Cougars. Here she is working in her awesome moves. She has this one move that works every time!

Calista loves soccer and she is just naturally talented. She has loved her uniform since it looks like Messi's Argentina kit. She even picked #9 for her shirt.
Calista's coach brought blue hair spray for all the girls to wear for their last game together. She wanted a messy bun so it could all be blue. This kid has so much hair that goes all the way to her butt so it was hard to make a decent messy bun.

We went with rec league soccer to see if Calista still loved to play and if she wanted to take it to the next level of dedication next year. She's had one practice every week and each season has lasted for 3-4 months. We worried that she would burn out with so much of her extra time spent playing soccer but she has loved it. After having a lot of fun with rec league she has decided to try out for club soccer through Arsenal soccer club next month. She is following in her sister's footsteps! Looks like we are becoming a family of all soccer players.
