Josh and Whitney's Wedding

The day finally came for my nephew Josh and his fiance Whitney to be married! They were engaged back in October of 2014 and they decided it would be best to wait for Whitney to finish school down in Price at Utah State Eastern before getting married so she could finish her volleyball season where she was on scholarship and also, so Josh wouldn't have to move down to Price for only a few months. It was pretty much obvious from the first time we met Whitney at the Fourth of July parade that these two were meant for each other. Whitney spent the entire day with the Randall crew that day from sun up to sun down. My kids latched on almost immediately. She handled it well, though. It felt totally similar to when I met Mark's family for the first time.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't going to cooperate for the wedding festivities. But you would never know that from Josh and Whitney's attitude. It rained nonstop the entire day. Someone had the foresight to purchase a bright yellow umbrella the day before the wedding and it ended up being a great prop for some of the couple pictures. The wedding colors were gray and yellow and the pictures turned out perfect with a yellow umbrella and gray skies. And the newly weds never stopped smiling.

Here are the lovebirds coming out of the temple.

It's not very often our family gets gussied up in new dresses so we got a good family picture out of it.

Mark was trying to keep Piper warm. It was freezing.

Markee tried to photo bomb.

The Joneses thought the same thing and had us take their family picture.

After pictures at the temple we had a delicious Cafe Rio style luncheon at the church for family. It was super low key and the cousins had fun hanging out with each other. The wedding reception was at Wadley Farms in Pleasant Grove. What a beautiful place! If only it wasn't raining we could have walked around the gardens and explored the grounds.

Marin, Meghan, Calista and Markee.

Each table had a mad libs stack to fill out. The cousins had a lot of fun doing these. The best part about the reception was the self-serve soft serve ice cream bar with all the toppings you could want. I need to come up with a party that would necessitate the use of an ice cream machine.

My beautiful first born...

The reception was a lot of fun. I've already told Téa that she will have her wedding reception here. There is a castle-like building in the process of being built next to the Barn building we were in. They are totally going for the fantasy/Disney wedding look. It's so pretty. The day was a total success and even though Tamsyn couldn't be there (still on her mission) Jeff and Alison made a little table shrine with a picture of her and some lit candles in honor of her. It was hilarious.
