Flash Flood Warning
I was at the tail end of getting my hair done at my friend's house this afternoon when it started raining. And it rained and rained and then rained some more and then it started raining harder. Somewhere during this point my girls and Lisa's girls decided to ditch the umbrella they had and just have fun in the rain. Calista said the rain hurt so she ran inside (and managed to fall on the driveway). We headed home and Téa wanted to go out again. That's when I really noticed the huge amounts of water.
Here's our very flooded backyard.
And some more flooded backyard.
Thankfully there was no wind. On Saturday this is what the wind did to our corn.
Mark went out in the mud and helped me push every stalk back up and stabilize it with dirt. It was not a fun job with all the mud. But this was the only time we were grateful for the clay/dirt we have out here. As soon as it dried it held really well.

Your corn is looking awesome! We ate some of ours the other day and it was mmmmmmmmmmmmm good. I wanna go to that lake with you sometime, let's plan it!
Hey, nice pix on the sidebar ;-) The photo colors work well with your background!
Thanks again for coming up to see us. Our kids are still talking about the fun things they did with their cousins.
