Arrivederci Fazoli's

I have a tissue pressed to my eyes as I write this entry. Friday night our family found out some terrible news. I'm now just able to talk about it. Mark, the girls and I decided to go out for dinner to our favorite place to eat. It's less than a mile from our home and it's a place we go probably every weekend. Well, we pulled up to our favorite place, Fazoli's, to find a small white piece of paper taped in the window telling us that Fazoli's was now closed and to visit them in Provo. Provo!? That's 20 minutes away and the closest Fazoli's to us now. For those of you who aren't blessed enough to have ever eaten at a Fazoli's, they are a fast-food Italian chain and has very fresh food. So much better than greasy burgers under a heating lamp from McDonald's. I think I was actually crying in the car as we tried to find another place to eat. Téa and Calista were really sad too, as it's their favorite place to get any type of pasta and also to get pizza. By far their favorite part is probably the all-you-can-eat breadsticks that they keep bringing until you turn them away. It was a very sad day for the Randalls. I even had tears in my eyes as I told my friend yesterday what had happened. She understood very well how we all felt about Fazoli's. She and her family would drive by and always see our red Jeep parked there and laugh. You could always count on us being there on Friday or Saturday night. You would think that we, alone, could have kept them in business. We went at least once a week. It was convenient, had good food, and everyone could find something they liked. So I'd just like to send out a farewell to Fazoli's. We'll miss you!

That's so sad!! I like Fazoli's too, especially when I was pregnant with Braden and I didn't want to cook. Nothing worse than being pregnant, figuring out what sounds good to eat, only to find out that you can't have it!
By the way... Congratulations on only 100 days left before your baby gets here! Has the countdown made it seem to go by faster or slower?? I always want my pregnancies to go by fast so I don't tell anyone we're pregnant until I'm at least 22-23 weeks pregnant! Crazy, I know but somehow it's fun to say "I'm pregnant, we're having a (girl/boy), and I have 18 weeks left" all in the same sentence!!

That is a bummer!!! You can always try El Pollo Loco. Not Italian, but um, um good. You might have to drive 5 miles though. They are opening next to Costco. I love that place. Should be open sometime this month.

Marcia, I am still so sad for you guys! Ty always cracked up when we drove past and saw the dear old jeep in front of Fazoli's....alone. We even went there in your honor one time and who was there......you guys! It was funny. Although it wasn't our choice of food, I did love the all you can eat breadsticks. I really am sorry! I would die if our favorite restaurants went out of business. We will have to make a trip to a Fazoli's one afternoon!
