I've come to the conclusion that in order for me to find the right shade of paint color that I want it takes five samples to get the right one. It took me five shades of brown to find the perfect one for the front rooms of the house. And it just so happens that it took me five different greens to find the right one for the kitchen. I'm either picky or I suck at picking out the right shade of color from all the hundreds of little pieces of colored paper that are at Lowe's. I'm good friends with the lady at the paint counter. She's always the one to help me. Come to think of it, she was also the person who helped us pick out blinds when we first moved in over a year ago. I'm surprised she didn't pop up when we were searching for a fridge as well. Whenever I go to Lowe's, she's always there. Anywho...I've found the color I want for the kitchen. Now the question is do I wait to paint when Mark goes to China AGAIN in April, or do I make him help me? Here's what my kitchen wall looks like right now...

In case any of you even care it's the second from the left. I kept painting more and more because I liked it so my swatch on the wall became huge. Too bad the picture doesn't really capture the true colors. Oh well. And this picture is mainly for Mark who is currently in China. And who is probably happy to get rid of the camo wall.
P.S. my goal was to hit my 200th post by my birthday. Not sure that goal is going to happen. I'd have to do 7 posts in 6 days and I don't want lame posts. I'll have to be creative I guess. Or just go out and do things that are blog worthy. But that would require taking the kids out. Hmm...

I figure since he likes it all white you need not bother to wait for him to help you. And don't knock the camo look. It still exists on my walls.
OOOOO I love it! Cannot wait to see the whole wall painted that one color! You know I will help you!
That is the shade that I would have chosen. It will look great!! Wish that I could be there to help paint. Love ya.
Hey, you are coming over tomorrow. Maybe the kids will do something really exciting and blogworthy - or do we really want to hope for that . . . Hmm.
