New Trick:
Piper has learned to feed herself...sort of. She can get about one out of every three puffs in her mouth so she's doing pretty dang good with just learning this new trick a week ago. This is the best stage. Babies learn to feed themselves and you can just stick them in a high chair and they concentrate so hard on trying to pick up the puff and then get it into the mouth. She's so happy doing it, too.
The best part about this toy is that it didn't cost us a penny! Thanks to all of Mark's previous trips he has accumulated thousands of United Airline miles and this is one of the things you can buy with those miles. So, courtesy of United we are now the proud owners of a Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon (some assembly required).
This was totally not my fault Mark! This was caused by said wagon pictured above. Oh, and of course a big sister was involved somehow.
So we got the flu bug. Well only one of us so far but I'm optimistic that it will not pass on to anyone else. (I'm crossing every finger and toe.) Téa came down with a minor fever Sunday night so I kept her home from school Monday. Noon time comes around and her fever was flaring up pretty bad. You know Téa is sick when she goes to bed at 2:30 pm without me even asking her to. She slept fitfully for about an hour and a half and then laid on the couch just miserable. And of course I ran out of Tylenol so I had to call in a favor to Jeff and Alison since the two people I actually know on my street weren't home. Téa made it through 3 Star Wars movies and The Incredibles today. I think she's actually sick of watching TV. And why is it that she decided to get sick just hours after my amazing helper went home? Beverley (Mark's mom) came and stayed with me for a week to help out.
No, the dent in the back of the van is not what I was referring to. That came with the car when we got it just so you all know. I'm referring to the beautiful new sticker on my car. Now I can tell my mini van apart from all the other millions of gold Dodge Grand Caravans in Utah County.
Did I mention that he will be home for NINE days and then leave for China? If anyone wants to know what I'm asking for for my birthday it's a trip to the salon so I can dye the new gray hairs that I'm getting...

Gosh I'm going to have to join your single mom every now and then club. Josh gets to travel a lot with his new job. Sounds like Mark is seeing some amazing places though. Too bad they can't take their spouses on these trips huh.
I'll come down and watch your girls while you go to the salon!!
Oh crap! She's not getting better? If it makes you feel better Macie has a major fever today and I am leaving Thursday for Argentina! I really really hope that our kids don't all get sick! Poor Tea, give her whatever she wants. Only a few more days till Mark gets home! Woohoo!
Trevor wants to tell Calista that he's sorry that you got an owie. Get better quick! We're sad that Tea is sick too. He said hurry and get better! Sorry that Mark has been gone so long...and will be going back before too long. It's hard to be by yourself! We love you guys and hope that you know we miss you!
I hope Tea gets better soon. Being sick is no fun. Sick kids are hard even when dad is around. You deserve a gold star. On a brighter note, at least you got that awesome wagon for all of Mark's travels. Next time purchase YOU something.
I hope you don't mind if I found your blog from Nash's. I can't wait to show Jared. You've got a beautiful family.
