Happy Birthday Mark!

The love of my life is having a birthday today. Unfortunately he got a nasty early birthday present yesterday when he woke up...strep throat. He went to the InstaCare office as soon as it opened and confirmed what he thought. He had two choices; pills or a shot. Since he is leaving on Saturday for China he chose the shot because it works faster. I was doing dishes when he came home from the doctor's and had a sad puppy dog look on his face. I figured he just wanted sympathy because he was sick. Here's what he said "I got a shot...on my bum and I didn't even get a sticker". Ouch.

But he's feeling a whole lot better today. Still loading up on ibuprofen for the throat pain but he's been out of bed most of the day. When he came downstairs this morning the girls were excited for him to open his presents. We got him a nice work shirt and pants and travel alarm clock. A very practical birthday, I know. We'll see what the rest of the day brings. Mark things he can at least do take out from somewhere for dinner.

So, Happy 36th Birthday dear! Yes, I had to add how old you are. At least it's still considered mid-thirties.
