Just a few more random things to blog about…
We had the cat shaved again. It’s my way of getting back at Max for all the times he’s woken me up with his incessant meowing and all the times I’ve had to clean up cat barf.
But it’s times like these it’s nice to have him around. I swear he thinks he is a dog. If Piper is in the tub, this is where Max will be…watching over her.
And he does weird things like this, too. I guess it was the warmest ‘seat’ in the house.
Mark and I had birthdays in March. Mark gave me 500 RMB for my birthday to spend in China. Sounds like a lot, right? It was about the equivalent of $80. But, that can buy you a lot of stuff over there.
Sadly, this is the only decent picture of Calista playing indoor soccer. This was the first year I’ve signed a kid up for Lehi City indoor soccer. It was only four weeks long, with eight games but Calista had fun and it got her ready for outdoor soccer.
This is a normal phone call to China in the evenings.
One night we were talking to Mark on the iPad and the cat had to sit right in front and watch. The kids thought it’d be fun to give him bunny ears.
Each month Téa has had to do a huge book report for school. March was the biggest one, which included a very thorough research on a famous American hero. She was given Susan B. Anthony. Téa did a great job on all her research and we were able to throw together a pretty convincing costume for her Wax Museum, which was part of the book report.
All the fifth graders were a part of the Wax Museum and all the classrooms in the school got to parade through the fifth grade rooms one day to see everyone in their costumes. That same night the kids were able to show off their knowledge for all the parents. Here’s Susan B. Anthony. So proper.
March was a busy month, which included a quick trip to China (for Mark and me). That trip was already blogged about back in March so I won’t bore you with the details. But, I did want to add just a few pictures that I wasn’t able to post while in China because we forgot our camera cord.
This is the picture that will be on our travel wall. It’s such a pain to ask other tourists, but totally worth it. And, you have to make sure the other tourist knows how to take a decent picture.
The Forbidden City.
We had a little too much fun with the gargoyles.
