I almost shoplifted today
Yeah, you read that title right. But let me explain. Children are killing my brain cells. Or maybe it's that I'm so desperate to have Piper happy in a shopping cart that I don't even notice that when I pick something off the shelf I automatically give it to her to play with. Today I went to Walmart and bought four things. (which by the way, is probably a record. How many of you can walk out of Walmart with only FOUR items?) Anyway, so I'm going through the express lane, put my four items on the counter, pay for my stuff and then put the bag in the cart. I take three steps and look at Piper who is chewing on a small container of ground ginger. Hmmm...how did she get that? I did need it but I don't remember picking it off the shelf. I quickly turn around and buy it and the cashier is laughing because I mumble something about keeping kids quiet while shopping and that Piper made me almost shoplift. And of course I don't have any cash so I have to use my debit card again...for $2. Seriously? Where is my brain?

I knew you were a thief! But seriously, I have done that a million times. Now I just try to avoid taking my flippin' 1 year old terror to the store at all.
You should work on having her shoplift something more interesting. Like a plasma perhaps
I am glad you bought it, even if you didn't need it. Now I am forced to wonder how many moms DON'T buy the stuff their children slobber on. THings that make ya go hhhmmmmm!!!!
I think you you left your brain in the spice isle.
Way to go Marcia! I think that it's only been last week that we almost did the same thing. You just have to entertain your kids somehow. It doesn't help that I am further distracted in the checkout line by whining kids wanting candy, and other little flashing trinkets that they strategically place right as we are trying to get out of there!
