Pumpkins & Pie

Last night was the traditional pumpkin carving at the Randall household.  Not my favorite thing to do but the kids love it.  This year we kept it simple…no artsy pictures to carve.  Just plain ol’ faces made.

Here they are cleaning out the guts.

Here they are posing with their masterpieces.

Now, I don’t like to brag much but this was blog worthy.  Friday night was our Ward Halloween party and this year they had a Chili cook-off and pie contest.  I decided to enter my lemon meringue pie for the fun of it and turns out lots of people liked it.  I won first place!  Pretty cool, huh?

Here’s me posing with my prize.  Another Halloween decoration to add to the five we have.

A closer look at the award…just in case you couldn’t read it in the first picture.

I guess I’m just another Betty Crocker.  (Just don’t tell anyone the pie crust was store bought.)

Why have I not tasted this pie? And I think it is totally blog worthy. I am very proud of you!

As for the decoration, it is very cute and heaven knows you need some more Halloween decorations!
