Here we are opening the Mickey characters. The older girls had a great time helping Piper play with all her new toys.
Next was breakfast. Pancakes, Mickey Mouse style, of course.
Here is how Piper shows '2'. She gets frustrated when she can't hold up two fingers on one hand, so she improvised. Nice smile, huh?
And after dinner we had birthday cake. She had to be the first to taste the frosting. And without practicing, she new exactly what to do with the candles. She loved blowing them out so much we had to do it a few times.
Just a few updates on Piper:
- She knows the letter 'P'. She can pick it out anywhere.
- She's huge. Not sure how huge yet. The dr. appt. is in a few weeks.
- Her church shoes are a size 8.
- She wears size 4T. Huge, huh!
- She still takes naps willingly...for now.
- She is quite the talker.
- She climbs onto the top bunk of the bunk bed. She started that neat little trick a few weeks ago. Scared the crap out of me. Now we have to keep the bedroom door closed. Let me just explain that the bunk bed does not have a real ladder. It's just the end of the bed with a few slats of wood.
- She has no fear...of anything...except for maybe the wrath of Mommy.
- She still goes to what I call the "wailing chair" when she gets mad, sad or in trouble. It's so funny. She immediately runs to the front room to her chair. I need to video tape it one of these days.
- I think I might actually have a toddler that prefers me over Mark. I never hear "Daddy do it" from her lips.
- She told Mark in the car today "Don't talk to me".
- I find her singing the Little Einstein's theme song frequently. It's so cute.
- She says 'OK' to everything.
- Tonight when I said "goodnight Piper" she said "goodnight hoochie-mama". I'm pretty sure it wasn't hoochie, but it sure sounded like it. I think she was trying to copy Calista who always says something funny (to her) before my name. Like Ju-Ju Mommy, Froo-do Mommy. You get the picture.
- She has to say goodnight to the door every time she sleeps.
- She is just a happy, easy-going kid. And we love her.
Happy Birthday Pip!

From now on when I say goodbye to you it will be "good bye hoochie momma." Especially at church.
Ha ha, it's better than Macie saying, "Oh crap!" all the time....sigh. Piper and her tv watching skills make me green with envy. She needs to teach Macie to 1-talk and 2-watch tv.
PS pretty impressed with the mickey pancakes, marsha.
Great post! When can we get together?
