Lagoon

We headed to Lagoon after school on Friday. It was Nu Skin's summer party and this year we were able to go. Last year Piper was only two months old and the thought of taking her along with the other two young ones wasn't exciting. Mark's sister, Leslie also works for Nu Skin so her family was there and she was able to scrounge up enough tickets for Jeff's family as well. It turned out to be a fantastic night. We had an extra ticket and Alison was able to convince her niece to come along and be a sort of babysitter for Piper so we could ride some rides as well. I guess I should say so I could ride rides. Mark is not a huge fan. I was able to get soaked on the Rapids then dry off on The Bat and then get soaked again on Odysea with Téa then to end the night I went on Wicked. Yes! I'm very proud that I did. Next time I will try to keep my eyes open, Leslie.

I knew I couldn't leave the park without riding this. I teach the 10-12 year-old girls in church and most of them had summer passes to Lagoon. I've heard all summer long how 'awesome' this ride was. I couldn't let a bunch of girls one-up me now, could I? Two things surprised me that night. 1) Téa went on The Bat and loved it. And then she was terrified on the swings. Hmmm... 2) Calista has no fear. She loved every ride, laughed on the Terroride (haunted house) and she got her Dad to go on a spinning ride that he hated! Calista was only an inch too short for The Bat and she was disappointed. Next year kiddo! I got a lot of pictures but they are still on my phone. I need to figure out how to get them on to the computer.
