It finally happened. As if I needed another title tagged on to my name. I now get to play Tooth Fairy. Maybe I should make Mark do it. I can just picture his tutu and wings. Of course they would be a manly blue color. OK, joking aside now...Téa lost her first tooth. It's been wiggly since November. After breakfast this morning she was smiling at me with bagel pieces in her mouth and I mistook her tooth for a piece of her breakfast. It was sticking up and out at a weird angle, so after she swallowed her mouth full I realized it was her tooth...hanging by almost nothing. I barely had to touch the tooth at all and it came out. Téa has actually been playing with it a ton the last 2 days. She would yank on it and it would bleed and then she'd start the whole thing over again. She desperately wanted it out so the Tooth Fairy would come. Very slyly I asked her about Dax's Tooth Fairy and how much she cost, uh, I mean how much she GAVE to Dax. Of course Meghan had to set the standard high! He got $2. I thought the going rate would be $.50. And I can't trick her because she's learning how much each piece of currency is worth. Dang. You gotta love the toothless grin though.

Toothless

Yeah! She looks so cute!
What a liar! He did NOT get $2.00! He got $1.00. So either he lied or Tea lied. They sure know how to pull the wool over your eyes! Ha ha ha! Hooray for Tea! Dax is gonna be so excited for her. I cannot wait to show him this picture!
Nicolas finally has a wiggly tooth too! His first at 7 years old! Poor guy can't get rid of them. He has been pretty persistent with it and I thing it will only take a day or two to come out. So they can be toothless cousins. :-) Our tooth fairy only brings $.50 per tooth. Unless she forgets for days in a row and then the guilt makes her leave $1
I think we'll be the 50 cent house as well. My son loves coins more than bills. But we had a friend spend the night with us in NYC and her 5 year old happened to lose a tooth then. The toothfairy came and gave her $20 !!!! Yeah ... Maybe I'll invite them to spend the night again when our kids start losing their teeth!
