The morning after Halloween it wasn’t a lazy Saturday where you get to wear sweats and sit and do nothing. It was rink construction day!
The girls are great helpers. This year was a little easier since we didn’t have to make all the braces, but we did expand the rink to almost double in size this year so we still had to make a few more.
It didn’t take long for the rink to take shape.
Téa loves to help. She asks so many questions and wants to know how everything works and why you do this and that. She definitely has Mark’s mind.
Téa had to try out the new stairs Mark constructed.
It’s all done! Last year the rink dimensions were 36’ x 22’. This year we made it 48’ x 34’. It’s huge!
What better way to use the ice rink until it's actually cold enough to fill it?
The rink makes the perfect soccer field. I just noticed that the second light on the right is actually the moon. I remember the moon was almost full last year when I took pictures of the family playing soccer inside the rink.
