Random August Moments

I was on my way to a soccer game one Monday night and had to pull over about half a mile from the house to capture the beautiful sky. It’s common on a summer evening to see rainbows since we have so many summer storms. Love it!

Twice a month Téa and I had mommy/daughter dates during the summer. Piper and Calista had set play dates these days so Téa and I took advantage to go out and have lunch together. Sometimes we shopped and sometimes we just hung out.

Téa made the Arsenal club team again this year and I got suckered in to being an assistant coach…again. Her new U12 team had a tournament in August and did really well for being their first few games since becoming a team two months before.

On Aug. 10 we were able to attend my new niece’s baby blessing. Tim and Ruth had another little girl in July. They had a beautiful blessing in their home and afterwards we had yummy Mexican food. Ruth’s parents were in town from Mexico for the blessing so Ruth’s mom made an incredible meal of authentic Mexican tacos. Yum!
Ruth is really good about family pictures. She sent me a few. All three Randall brothers and their families (minus Josh and Tamsyn).

Mark was just newly called into the Bishopric the beginning of August so every Sunday he now has to wear a suit. I documented the rare occasion that Mark would be in a suit at a family gathering. Jeff’s always in one now too, since he’s a bishop and Tim is the executive secretary in his ward.  I told them all to act relaxed. This is what I got.

Then Mark pulled out his Men’s Warehouse male model pose.

Then came the ‘Magnum’ face. (See Zoolander for reference)

And the poses just kept coming.  Silly boys.
