We were up bright and early this morning to open presents. My sweet middle child is 7 today. She has been looking forward to this day for months. It has been torture for her to wait.
Here she is opening presents. Gotta love girl Legos. The woman who came up with this product is a genius.
The most important item on her birthday wish list was another Care Bear, but this time she wanted a girl one. Little does this kid know that it’s been 6 years since she got her first one and they don’t make them anymore, or are very hard to find. Thanks to eBay we found one really cheap.
Since Piper and Calista’s birthdays are right next to each other we decided on Birthday Ice Cream this year. No one eats the cake anyway.
Here are some random facts/observations about Calista:
She still rubs her Care Bear’s eyes and nose while she falls asleep
She still snorts when she laughs
I love the fact that we can still make her laugh so hard that she gets the hiccups
She likes to beat up on Mark…still
She’s always losing her glasses
She is the peacemaker of the family
She is happy 98% of the time
She can’t do an evil laugh. She always ends up in giggles
She loves school so much she can’t wait for August
She is the one Maximus goes to every morning after he’s been outside all night
She is a very good dancer and is very close to being able to do a full splits
She snores really loud (according to Téa)
Her personality is similar to Luna Lovegood (from Harry Potter). She is mellow and in her own world sometimes
Calista handles being the middle child really well. She is such a joy to this family. She loves to have fun and laugh all the time. She always makes sure everyone has a part to play in the games she plays with her sisters. Most days all my girls are the best of friends. I will remind them of this moment in time when they are teenagers in the future and are at each other’s throats every day.
