I'm still trying to get over the shock as I write this entry. My parents, whom I trust implicitly, took me to the doctor's today and allowed me to be used as a pin cushion. Not once, not twice...but five times! Yes, five! I was even happy and cooing to the doctor and showing off all my new skills I learned in the last few weeks and they still punished me by giving me five shots. Maybe after a good nap I will forgive them. Here are my stats from my check up: I'm 11 lbs. 7 oz. and am 24 1/4" inches long. Yup, I'm in the 96% for height. I'm a whole pound heavier than my sisters at this age and of course, longer.
On Sunday I received a baby blessing from my dad. It was a wonderful experience and I had lots of family and friends there to see me. Both sets of grandparents were there which was really special. Nonna and Papa were able to be there from California and I got to see my Papa for the first time. We had the blessing at the church in a room since we didn't have a Sacrament meeting because of Regional Stake Conference. Afterwards we went to my Great Grandma's house and had a ton of food and hung out for the rest of the day. The funnest part about being with lots of family is that everyone wants to hold me and I don't have to be put down at all. And I decided to remind my Aunt Leslie how to change a poopy diaper...twice! It was great. The funniest part was when my cousin Erik started searching the house for hidden treasure. He found some really cool things that were missed when the house was emptied out. (Well, cool things to him. I'm not sure how cool two used toothbrushes from the 70's and a pair of 20 year old knee highs are. But hey, to each his own, right?) Oh, and I also got to hear my cousin Josh play the piano. He's really good. I was so tired after showing off and trying to be cute all day that I slept the whole night.
