The Randalls: Yellowstone Vacation Day 6

We were so sad to leave West Yellowstone. It's beautiful, serene, and I've been able to hang out with my side of the family. We've seen and done so much this past week. We've seen ample amounts of wildlife: moose, bison, squirrels, birds, fish, more bison, elk, sheep and even more bison. We've visited amazing sites: hot springs, geysers, mud pots, fumeroles, waterfalls, massive rivers, lakes and beautiful Montana scenery. We even got to see the International Space Station moving through the night sky and too many stars to count. Amazing.

I loved the cabin we stayed in. Darron picked a great place.

The road you drive up to get to the cabin. There is so much green surrounding the cabin.

Main living room. There are 4 big picture windows to see the awesome views.

There's another little sitting room, with a TV. Off to the left is the kitchen and eating area.

The main living space is actually on the second floor, probably for the view so you can see above the tree line. The deck just off the kitchen was nice. The kids ate out there a few times since the weather was so nice. There is a master bedroom on the main level and the remaining 4 bedrooms are on the first floor, with two full bathrooms and a big laundry room.

The road going up past the cabin. So many trees! I can't imagine how much snow this place gets in the winter.

It was time to say our goodbyes after breakfast. We thought about leaving a little earlier to drive home through Jackson Hole but decided it would add 4-5 hours to our drive time. That's double the drive time. We didn't think it was worth it.

We had to get a few last minute pictures. Can you tell it was bright?

Ok so it was really bright. None of us could see.

I just know that the next time these cousins see each other they will be so much more grown up, both taller and more mature. I should mention that Grant was on this vacation. I just never got pictures of him. He is one active little guy so he never sits still. And my kids always wanted to play him.
